Friday 29th May 2015:
The festival will be officially opened by Mr. Liam Collins, in the Rustic Inn, Abbeyshrule, Co.Longford.
Keynote speaker on the night will be Dr.Michael Griffin from the University of Limerick, who will give a talk entitled “Goldsmith and the Recession”.
Saturday 30th May:
The Goldsmith Literary Tour will visit many of the famous sites associated with Goldsmith including Pallas, Forgney, the Three Jolly Pigeons, the Busy Mill, the Parsonage and Kilkenny West, and will include readings from Goldsmiths works. Starting at Ballymahon Community Library, Ballymahon, Co. Longford.
Talks will take place in the Goldsmith Room, Ballymahon Community Library. Speakers will be Vincent Woods, a poet and playwright who also presents the Arts Show on RTE Radio 1, and Gerald Dawe, writer and poet.
The Three Jolly Pigeons BBQ and music.
